Weekly Pulse / 11.17.24

1. High Protein, Whole Foods

Recently, I have been focusing on a high-protein, whole foods diet. My goal is to maintain an 80/20 balance, which allows me to occasionally indulge in meals like pizza and pasta. I prioritize maximizing my protein intake from real, whole foods.

Favorite Meal: Steak cooked in butter, served with asparagus and homemade sweet potato fries.

2. The Brick

I’ve tried pretty much every app that pops up in my Instagram ads. I was using Opal for a while, but then I found The Brick and it’s been AMAZING! I can’t recommend it enough. The whole idea of physically locking your phone really helps keep me accountable. I usually keep it at home or toss it in my backpack when I’m working since my job is all about social media. This is the only thing that’s actually worked for me in cutting down on screen time and social media scrolling.

3. Traction

The book "Traction" by Gino Wickman is essential reading for anyone leading a business. It offers practical tools to help create a vision, gain traction, and maintain accountability in any industry. A really interesting read.

Shoutout to Addy and Nick for implementing this for The Health Club. So many great nuggets in the book to learn from.

Health Tip: Reading before bed has been proven to reduce stress, which can improve your sleep quality. I typically read during this time, and each time I do, I wake up feeling well-rested.

4. The Whoop

The Whoop has totally changed the game for me. Tracking my recovery feels even more important than tracking my workouts. What's the point of training if you're not recovering? Plus, I love the group features on Whoop—they keep that competitive vibe I really enjoy.

We just made a Whoop Group for The Health Club.Come join us!Group ID: COMM-C2AAF6

5. SuppCo

I recently stumbled upon this app that’s about to take off, if it hasn’t already. SuppCo lets you keep track of all the vitamins and supplements you’re taking just by scanning the barcode. It even gives you a SuppCo score based on quality, price, and whether you’re taking the right stuff for your goals. It’s pretty awesome. You can also choose from different protocols, and it'll hook you up with a custom supplement stack to fit your needs. I highly recommend this if you're like me and unsure where to start with supplements.
